Our purchase of Fair Trade tea assures that farmers in developing countries receive a fair price for their crops, have safe working conditions and that the crops are grown in harmony with nature without the use of harmful chemicals. Organic Rooibos with Honeybush is Fair Trade Certified™ by Trans Fair Canada. This certified organic and fair trade rooibos herb is grown by the Wupperthal co-operative of small farmers (30% women) living in the rugged Cedarberg Wilderness Area of South Africa. The premium that we pay for this rooibos tea provides additional income for the rooibos growers in the village of Wupperthal, providing lasting benefits for their families and community.
