Herbal Decongestant & Expectorant Made with Organic Licorice Root
Recommended use: Breathe Easy® is an herbal tea that temporarily relieves congestion from hay fever colds and allergies.
Recommended dose: Adults and children over 12 years: Drink three cups daily or as needed, inhaling the vapors as you drink.
Directions for use: Pour 240 mL freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag and steep, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently squeeze the tea bag to release the remaining extract. Add honey to enhance benefits, especially in dry climates.
Duration of use: If symptoms last longer than 7 days, seek medical advice.
Medicinal ingredients: Each tea bag (1.5g) contains: Dry aqueous extract (8:1) of Bi Yan Pian* 120 mg (equivalent to 960 mg), organic peppermint leaf (Mentha x piperita) 375 mg, organic licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 300 mg, organic eucalyptus leaf (Eucalyptus globulus) 285 mg, organic bitter fennel fruit (Foeniculum vulgare) 255 mg, pleurisy root (Asclepias tuberosa) 60 mg.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Organic calendula flower (Calendula officinalis), organic ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale).
Cautions: Consult a health care practitioner before using if you have hypokalemia, or if you are taking any kind of hormonal therapies, diuretics, potassium depleting agents, or MAO inhibitors.
Contraindications: Not to be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Do not use if you have inflammatory disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and biliary ducts, impaired kidney or liver functions, high blood pressure or heart disease. Do not use if you have an allergy to Asteraceae/Compositae (daisy) family.
* Bi Yan Pian extract (8:1) contains extractive of the following Traditional Chinese Medicine formula: Xanthium fruit (Xanthium sibiricum), magnolia flower (Magnolia officinalis), siler root (Saposhnikovia divaricata), forsythia fruit (Forsythia suspensa), wild chrysanthemum flower (Chrysanthemum indicum), schisandra fruit (Schisandra chinensis), platycodon root (Platycodon grandiflorum), fragrant angelica root (Angelica dahurica), anemarrhena rhizome (Anemarrhena asphodeloides), schizonepeta herb (Nepeta tenuifolia), and Chinese licorice root (Glycyrrhiza uralensis).
